Dr. David Kemp
David Kemp came to Hickory Valley Baptist Church in January 2016 after 18 years of teaching in the Bible Department at Tennessee Temple University. He enjoys teaching the truth of the Bible, whether in a verse-by-verse study of a particular book of the Bible or in a topical study of one of the important doctrines of the Bible. David and his wife Carolyn were married in 1982. They have three grown children — Melody, Angela, and James — and one granddaughter, Ali. In his spare time, David enjoys spending time with his family, reading, and playing the piano.
Matt Neal came to Hickory Valley in March 2017 after serving in various capacities in ministry for 12 years which include missions, youth work, and counseling. Matt is driven to teach, motivate, and equip the generation of church leaders to come through our student ministry. He is passionate about apologetics, discipling and reaching our community for Christ. Matt is married to Lori Neal and they have 3 sons. Together Matt and Lori provide many types of counseling including marriage and family, adolescent, substance abuse and depression. Matt enjoys time with his family, coaching and playing sports with his sons, and building relationships with people.
