Answering Your Critics

Dr. David Kemp

Acts 11:1-18

1. There are people who will criticize you, even when you obey God (Acts 11:1-3).

2. In answering your critics, emphasize what God has done in your life and how you have obeyed Him (Acts 11:4-17).

1) God responds to our prayers (Acts 11:5).

2) God has specific people in specific places at specific
times (Acts 11:5).

3) God makes us aware of areas in which our thinking
needs to change (Acts 11:5-10).

4) God’s timing is perfect (Acts 11:11).

5) God directs us to do things we’ve never done before to
accomplish His purpose (Acts 11:12).

6) God prepares people in advance for the way He wants
us to minister to them (Acts 11:13-14).

7) God wants people who are not saved to be saved (Acts
11:14).

8) God does things that are greater than what we expect
(Acts 11:15).

9) God keeps His promises (Acts 11:16).

10) God’s will must not be resisted (Acts 11:17).

Action point: Give glory to God for providing salvation for people of all nationalities (Acts 11:18).
