Confronting an Extremely Dangerous False Teaching
Acts 15:1-5
February 4, 2018
1. To mix works with faith in order to be saved is false teaching (Acts 15:1, 5).
2. False teaching must be confronted and corrected, especially false teaching about salvation (Acts 15:2).
3. Be able to defend the truth of the Bible: salvation is through faith alone, not some combination of faith plus works (Acts 15:2-4).
4. Great joy results from being saved by God’s grace, through faith (Acts 15:3).
Our response to the truth of the word of God:
1. Make sure you have trusted in Jesus to save you and are not trusting your own works.
2. Don’t give anyone the impression that they can be saved through a combination of faith and works.
