The blessed hope involves:

1. seeing Jesus as He is (1 John 3:1-2) — in power and glory

2. being with the Lord for all eternity (John 14:1-3; John 17:24)

3. being with all who have been saved for all eternity (1 Thessalonians 4:13-18)

4. being delivered from this present evil age (Galatians 1:3-5)

personal applications:

1. Trust Jesus as your personal Savior and Lord.

2. Live in such a way as to be ready for the second coming of Jesus (1 John 2:28).
