1. A sacrifice for one person (Genesis 22). God provides the needed sacrifice.

2. A sacrifice for one household (Exodus 12). God’s judgment passes over those who have applied the blood of a lamb in accordance with His instructions.

3. A sacrifice for an entire nation (Leviticus 16). Sin cannot be removed without an atonement – the killing of an innocent substitute in place of the people who have sinned.

4. A sacrifice for the entire world (John 1:29). The Lamb of God, the Lord Jesus Christ, gave His life as a sacrifice for our sins.
